Ecotech battery backup question...

I just got my battery backup today and it works as it should. My question is.....when I plug the backup cord into my mp40 controller it doesn’t go all the way in....is somthing messed up or is it supposed to be like that. I posted a pic below. Thanks!!

I have the same backup, mine also doesn't go in all the way but still works so I just left it like that lol.

Perfectly normal, and having the box oriented like that is fine as well.
