are those eggs or a sponge looks like sponge from pic but either way scrape off id use eithier a scapal if you have a steady hand or somthin thin but dull then do a dip in a solution of lugals and saltwater at 1 drop per cup of water for 5 min.

it could be a sponge .....i have no idea what it can be...

can i use something dull and scrape it off....dip it in r/o water and put it back in the tank....i dont have lugols ...

did it appear overnight? give it a try with r/o and see if anything falls off that way you can eliminate the possibility of any predators present in that colony.

i took the zoa rock out of the water and the sponge/eggs seem to melt off leaving a clear layer.....i cleaned it the best i could and used some tank water and dipped it in r/o water....im gonna leave these guys in the sump and see how they are in the morning...thanks for all the help guys...i hope they will be okay.......i

Hey I am up late doing some site work and just wanted to stop in and say Welcome to CZ! I hope you get your zoa problems resolved.

Try a squirt bottle filled with RO water for cleaning the remains off. I find that more pressure can be generated than with a turkey baster and the zoos don't seem to mind at all. It also works well for nudis after a freshwater dip[.

thats for evryones help.....its sitting in my sump for now....i been checking it periotically but they are still closed....i will reply in a few days.....

thanks for the warm welcomes!
