EMERGENCY! Cracking bracing!

If you have the budget I'd get a new tank. It seems like when something breaks one time it will break again. With as much as we invest in livestock it may be a better option just for the piece of mind, not to mention your floor;)

Yeah the floor is what I am worried about... livestock is second. Thank god I didn't really get into corals yet. I have 3 at the moment combined value no more that $50. haha. Though I did lose a fish already... poop... too much stress from the move I am thinking.

Petco dollar per gallon sale. Have them order it

Scary situation. If it were me, I'd replace it. I remember my skimmer over skimmed one time and the was water all over the floor.......let's just say I was freaking out.....and it was barely a gallon. If it breaks.......that's alot of gallons on the floor and alot of mopping as diesel stated. Good luck!

I was told by someone I spoke with last night about this. Though $80 is a bit much, I could easily buy the materials and have someone I know weld them together. I am about 90% sure I am going to get another tank... just not worth the risk IMO. I just like to have all the options on the table before I make my decision.

First off thank you everyone for your extremely quick responses yesterday and your guidance. I seriously don't have a clue what I would have done without posting this last night. This forum is the BEST!!!! I need to shake Rev's hand if and when I ever see him.

I was so very close to buying aluminum to jerry-rig a brace, but as of right now I am 99% sure I will be buying a new tank. I called into a local store that opened about 3 months ago on a whim today and was talking to the owner (I think) about my situation and he gave me unofficial numbers of about $300 for a new tank. Yeah... I think it is the best thing to do. No more worrying at all about that brace. Sad to say that this aquarium died like this... OH well oak is ugly.

As of right now the tank is half full with a pump and air stones it in to keep the fish HOPEFULLY alive. It will not be delivered until Thursday. Then I get to redo the plumbing again WEEEE more pvc cement!
