Is there a way to test the potency of esv b 2 part original part 1? The reason I ask is that according to the calculator below in order to raise my alk from 6.7 to 7.2 for 100 gallons of water I would need to dose 33ml I added the 33 ml and my alk only came up to 7.0 using a hanna checker x2 It's a new bottle mixed per the instructions http://reef.diesyst.com/chemcalc/chemcalc.html
 
You think your alkalinity test is so accurate that you can distinguish 0.2 dKH differences so well that you doubt the potency of a commercial product? I would not.

Yes, you can dose it to RO/DI or to new salt water and look for the appropriate rise. It cannot be tested directly as it is too potent.
