Hi all. My system is in a fallow period right now due to ick. I had to rebuild the system and start over. Rocks and corals are the only thing in the system at the moment. What is the preferred method for nutrients in the tank with corals and a few cleanup crew, but no fish?
Should I phantom feed with fish food, coral food, or amino acids? Maybe just feed the cleaners, or a little of everything?

Unless your tank has been really clean or you have non-photosynthetic corals, you're likely fine to just let it ride in terms of food. Otherwise, my advice would be to feed a small fraction of what you normally would - a small bit every few days should be enough to keep your organics in the right ranges. Really depends upon the corals you have...

Keep up with your water changes/additives for trace elements since the corals will keep on growing.

All I have left in the coral holding is some acropora. I'm worried they might not like a brand new environment. The DT upstairs will be acro only, so I don't want to lose what little I have right now [they're expensive enough]. Kaklwasser in the ATO is keeping up until I get a calcium reactor.
