If you remove the sock holders you can install any roller you want. If not I believe the klir drops right into one of the holes. I dont like the klir that much. I would remove the sock holders.

Yes! I saw the klir... the truth is I don't know about brands, this roll filter thing is new to me... how would you remove those supports for the socks? And what brand of roll filter do you recommend?
thank you

You can't remove the sock holder on the signature series. Its built in. They make a pro series version that accommodates a roller filter. It is more expensive but is 18" wide compared to the signature series that is 15" wide.

It is not easy but can be done. If you have a Dremel of some sort you would need to cut it out. The filter sock holders aren't really thick acrylic, more like a very hard plastic. Once removed you can plumb the roller straight from you primary drain. It would be easier if you could take the sump out to make the cuts.

I like the new Reefmat. Easy to install and changing the roll is so so easy. Only downside is you have to use the reefbeat app. Once installed you really don't have to deal with the app. Not a total deal breaker. If you wanted to get fancy and have access to a router you can cut the the eurobracing so that its flush and then you can install the roller mat on the lip. If not you can use the included legs and just stand it. With some other rollers you would need to trim the eurobracing as they do need to be installed on the lip.
