Finally got the tank

Had to make some modifications this weekend. The back panel of glass on the stand was 1/16” and only held on by 2 sided tape. To mount the aqua life fixture I would have to attach more 2 side tape to the glass and was t confident that it would hold and drop the light into the tank. What to do? Remove the glass panel and adhesive that held the glass panel so I could mount the fixture properly to the cabinet

The brackets that hold the aquatic life fixture (show) need to be attached to the middle of the stand. I couldn’t drill through the glass and didn’t want to hope that 2 sided tape would hold. So I removed the glass to get to the wood so I could screw it into the wood.

Maybe a chisel would have been better to remove only the bracket dimensions in the desired location

Or mounting them to the hand rail beside the aquarium

Great though process! The glass was shatter resistant so there was no way to cut in a hole without removing it all. I thought about the railing part as well and even looked at ceiling suspension and this seemed to be the easiest way as I might be mounting a UV tube light to the back as well. Pictures to come of my thought process as I mount the light today.
Very nice! How are you liking the fit and finish of everything? I have a 150 peninsula coming in end of the month in white. Contemplating if I should swap out the plumbing and sump or good enough to keep as it for a while/forever.

I really like it. I am going to swap out the sump with a lifereef setup. The white will be stellar
