Finger Leather Fragging

Hello -

I would like to frag my large finger leather and green mushroom and give them to local reefers for free. However, I have never Frag them before. Is there anything I need to know before I start? I have a mixed tank with SPS, LPS, softies. Also, can I frag it in the tank?

Start small and slow, get a feel for how quickly they heal. The easiest way ive learned in the past with those types of coral to successfully frag is to cut them cleanly with scissors and then place the frags in a small container with rubble in it. As they heal they will attach to the smaller rubble and it makes them easier to pass around. If you decide to do a larger peice of the leather, placing a plastic tooth pick about 1/2 inch above the cut through it and rubber banding to a rock works. Colt Corals

Good Evening R2R Crew, Apologies, I have been MIA for a while. I recently received some Colt Corals from a friend. He had to trim down his colt corals because they were growing out of control. Since I have put them in my aquarium they have been very hard to glue to rocks due to the slime...

Thank you. Can I frag them in the tank? I hear they can release toxin can kill others int he tank?
