fire goby disappeared

I put a fire goby in the tank last evening, and I haven't seen it since then. Do these fish take a long time to come out of hiding when they are added ?

I also want to put in a royal gramma, but the guy got me a royal dottyback instead and I returned it since I had read that it is an aggressive fish. So waiting for my royal gramma..

Don't worry you fire fish will come out, the can burrow or hide in rock's. He'll come out to eat.

forgot to mention, he didnt come out to eat either ! never seen him since last evening

Give it a couple of days. A newly added firefish hiding is not unusual.

He will come out!
A few of my fish did this to me.
Watchman gobie still disappears for weeks on end, then pops up out of no where, then back to hiding again.
My Melanarus wrasse did the same thing. I put him in, turned away and he was gone for 2 days... Then poof showed up again. My Sixline did the same thing too!

I've had fish hide for close to a week when they are added don't worry he won't starve or anything
