I bought my first corals which I am super pumped about. I bout two frags of torch and a frag of candy cane. The candy cane and one of the torch frags are doing great, the other torch frag is not doing very well. I placed them on the same rock about an inch apart, same light and flow conditions. PH is a little low at 8.1, nitrates and phosphates are very low. Does anyone of any suggestions of something I can do to help the frag?

Also, with the PH being a little on the low side what can I do to raise it?

I find that even though the corals are in the "same" location, flow can sometimes be different. Is one of them moving faster than another? Torches like it low and slow as far as flow is concerned.

I don't see a pH of 8.1 as low. In fact, it sounds just about ideal. Mine swings from 8.1 to 8.2.
Just make sure you're light acclimating them, and you might get those nutrient levels a bit higher. Although low nutrients wouldn't start to manifest itself this quick. Make sure they're not stinging each other or getting harassed by some other creature.
