Flexible pvc pipe question

So I've noticed some algae growth in my current clear vinyl tubing most likely from my refugium light. The vinyl tubing is attached with hose clamps and it's easy to remove that's why I like using them. I can't really use hose clamps on the PVC pipe so do I just use the PVC cement instead of clamps for both the return and intake hoses?

You do, in a regular PVC fitting. I have found that Oatey's rain or shine cement works well with flex PVC
