Hey everyone!

Was wondering if you might be able to provide some insight on my tank. I recently purchased a Jebao SW-2 for my tank to provide some flow behind my rockscape and towards the back of the tank. My idea was that i would have higher flow in the back of the tank and lower flow towards the front. I also upgraded the return pump to provide better movement throughout the whole tank.

Is where I have my wavemaker at the back an acceptable position or will it provide problems in the future. It moved a bit of the sand behind the rock but seems to have settled now with not moving many particles. I also slightly tilted it upwards hoping it will keep algae or unwanted particles from settling at the back of the rocks as well.

Thank you for any advice or comments!

IMHO you are OK. The one concern I had, and that your photo answered, was whether or not the flow from the wavemaker would keep surface water from being 'sucked' in through the teeth of the overflow weir. But from what I could see, it looks like you are OK.

Good luck.

I don't have additional wave makers in mine but use RFG. I would suggest trying several positions but I would have thought against the back wall pointed toward the return loclines to create cross flow.
