Anyone using these? Are they worth the pretty penny? im thinking of a filter upgrade on my 75g reef from 2 fluval 205s to one bigger canister filter to create some room and less hosing and stuff. more room under the tank to store things i need. prob be looking to do this within the next 8 months or so, wanna get some info now and think it over.

I have heard great things about the g series. I know a few people that are running them and have said nothing but great things about the filter. I would spring for it if I did not have the option to do a sump.

well id be running both, i have sump with ATO and right now 2 fluval 205s want to create more space under the tank, so was thinking of switching to the fluval g series. anyone else have 1st hand experience with these filters? i dont mind spending the few extra(who am i kidding) dollars to get it, but want to make sure im not paying for fancy bells and whistles that dont do much for saltwater

I have the G3 i'm selling for a hundred bucks...didn't like it at all. Had it on a 55 gallon as supplemental filter (and the gadgety side of me wanted it)...ended up cleaning it about every 3 days and got tired of the flow issue after a while.

thanks jen. how easy was it to clean, they claim its very user friendly. what water params does it measure that are useful to SW if any? obv i can read all the "testimonys" from fluval and sites selling the filter but i want to know from people i trust actually used the filter and so far its not looking good
