I am going to be setting up a 20 gal frag tank. My question is about lighting. I have a k2 viper clip on halide light. It cuerently has a 150w 14k bulb in it. I will changing it to a 10k. Will this be sufficient light for a frag tank?

10K's will give better growth while not as pleasing to our eyes as the 14K's looks being more blueish.

Bill, I know the difference in color, and that 10k appears more yellow. I was just asking the OP why he is switching? Kinda wondering what he runs on his DT too.

Here is the display tank.

The difference in color is not what i was talking about, the 10K gives better growth and for a frag tank that IMO is the goal. I know you are aware of the blue verses yellow look of them Duh...It's all good dude................

2 of those koralia nanos would be good and cheap. Id say 20-40x no need for more in a frag tank keeping mixed corals.
