Recently I pickup up 4 frags from my LFS. Day one and two they looked great. By day three I noticed the frags were closed up tight. The following days they started to shed the flesh. My water parameters
1.025 Salinity
400 Calcium
10 alk
1380 mag
.02 Phos with Hana low range test.
My tank is a 58 gallon 36x18x21
Lighting is Sunpower T5 6x39 bulbs are new. The lights are 12.5 inches from water.
Initially my lighting fixture was about 8 inches above water. My other corals look great. I did notice though that my mushrooms have started to look a little shriveled. They seem to be doing better in the shady areas of the tank. Is it possible I have too much light? Thanks in advance.

I would definitely start with acclimating them to lower lighting placement, it's not going to hurt anything.

+1 Bought some beautiful mushrooms recently. Noticed same thing with mine. Seems like they immediately do ok with my reef bright blue, but T5's kicking their butts. Try lowering them and slowly move them up.

It helps to know what corals they are, not all corals have the same requirements after all.

Corals not doing well are a Brown SPS with neon tips, (RIP) It's a gonner, Duncan coral, Neon Trumpet coral, and a Frogspawn. I think I fried them with my light. I should have acclimated them slower.

I know this is a couple week old but are they doing better did you lose them any pictures?

I lost them all with the exception of the frogspawn, who is living in the shade. I recently picked up some more frags from AquaSD and the Bower, Acans, Hammer, Torch, Zoa's and a few Sps all seem to be happy and doing well. However,I am losing my second Duncan frag, I think. Not really sure why. My water paramaters are PH is stable 8.1-8.3 No Nitrates, ca 420, alk 9, 1.025 salinity, mag 1300 temp stable at 79 and Phos .04 Hanna low range. I'm really starting to wonder if my lighting is to strong. I wish I had a PAR meter. I'm using an ATI 6x39 Sunpower T5 at about 14 inches off the water. I really don't know why I keep losing Duncans????????????
