I really have my heart set on setting up a tank for a frogfish, my plan is to plumb a 300l tank onto the 5ft sump of my 850l setup.

Want to have zoa gardens, mushrooms, toadstool leathers and softies in the tank, I have a Reef Octopus 1000 protein skimmer to hang on the tank as additional back up as I already have a Bubble Magus C6, but my existing sump will be the filtration.

What I am wondering is clean up crew? What will my frogfish not consider food? Snails? Hermit crab? Conch?

The snails will be fine. I wouldn't expect them to eat a hermit either, because of the shell. What sort of frogfish were you thinking about?

Yeah pretty much anything that isn't a shrimp of fish will be fine. I've kept them with hermits and snails just fine. It's really larger things that move a lot or very fast that triggers their feeding response.

Wanted a warty or painted, any of the small to medium sized species I am happy with but want to avoid the giant frogfish.
