GFO vs bio-pellets

do9ing a lot of research and I'm really stuck on this, can you use these at the same time or is it one or the other. I'm not really seeing a the difference except for less cleaning time. can someone explain the what the benefit of either is, I'm still going to be looking myself but just asking.

I haven't used bio pellets but have used GFO. Would do bio pellets if I did it over

There is nothing wrong with using both. Pellets don't lower phosphate as much as many folks want, and the combination of GFO and organic carbon (such as pellets) is a fine way to go.
