Just from experience I can tell you that ive only had 3 out of 10 mushrooms that where cut or "fragged" make it to 1 yr mark. Think it comes down to health of shroom and overall system shrooms are being cut a fragged and allowed to heal in. I can tell you that some shrooms are highly susceptible to bacterial infections and I believe that's because of close distance relatives to anenomes. Nothing scientific here just speculation on observations.
