Hello everyone. I plan on going on vacation for a week. What would be all the products I would need to buy to last a week. I have a sump with no refugium. Thanks.

Kind of a broad question. What do you mean by products? How old is the tank, how big is it, and how many/what type of fish? Do you have an ATO, how big is your reservoir and how much evap do you typically have?

!!!!^^^
Is someone feeding the tank while your gone ? Auto feeder ?

Sorry got busy at work. I manually dose, feed and top of my water. My tank is 1-1/2 old. 90 gallon. evaporations about 1 gallon a day. I have three fish. 2 clowns and a purple tang. Lot of coral. All types. Mostly soft. No one will be around to help.

I would advise not trying to do any last minute automation such as auto feeders, it’s best to verify everything is working properly for a week or two before leaving it unattended for extended periods. I would highly recommend finding a tank sitter, seems Murphy’s law always comes into effect during vacations.

I agree. I would go to the nearest store and see if they have someone qualified to come over maybe 3ish days the week you are gone to top off, feed the tank, and dose accordingly.

I would look into some sort of automation once you get back from your trip. Automation is more reliable than human error. If you simply had a doser and ato you wouldn’t be writing this thread. Fish can easily live without food for a week in an established tank.

Definitely recommend an ATO but like said above I’d run them a couple weeks before that way you know if something is not working properly. You can always make your own gravity fed ato easily but on a bigger tank that’s a hassle
