Anyone else have a Hippo Tang that had gone full on goofy?
Lately (past few days) I have been hearing a splashing noise coming from the tank everytime I walk by and sit with my back to it. But when I turn to look, I don't see anything unusual and pass it off as just the WAV's creating turbulence.
Until tonight that is. I walked by the tank and sat down at the computer paying little attention as I was on the phone. Which I heard the splash again.
Turning to look at the tank, just at the moment goofy Dory ( wife named her ) went head down towards the sand, tail sticking up out of the water. Swiping her tail she splashed water.

Not believing what I saw, I turned with my back to her. Low and behold, she did it again twice more, until I walked over to the tank and gave her a tid bit.

Tried to get it on video but she quit doing it since she got her treat and attention.

Anyone else have a goofy Dory story?

I don't have a blue tang doing that but I do have a 7 year old goldfish that does that. When she is hungry, if nobody is looking at her or in sight of her, she first spits gravel against the glass to make a noise. If she doesn't get attention that way, then she makes the biggest splash she can. When fed the behaviour stops. I believe our fish have us both well trained to feed on demand!
