Got water running again!

Took the plunge and got the used 24G HQI nanocube from 5'th day and its great to have a salt tank in the Matt cave again. Got along ways to go but I'm happy for a tank moved and thrown together about 6 hours ago.

I have some zoanthids and a softball size GSP rock. I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them.

Looks like you might already have the same zoanthids though.

Found a fair bit on night life last nght, not many pods but a few, gonna keep it fishless for a few months (or try to to rectify that) one pretty large sold gray bristle worm, been out of awhile, but thos the ones that can be prblems? Several small orange bristles, a couple little serpent starts and some spaghetti worms.

Also found the only thing that made my skin crawl a little, a fairly large but ratty and very translucent aptasia, in very hard to access spot, and a spot that if I pulled the rock, I'd have to split it multiple times and didtch a big chunck of the rock to be sure nothing of it got back in the tank, I'm thinking of tracking down a true peppermint shrimp or mebbe a small emerald crab would be the best way to deal with it, and wheres a good scource?? ( had a tank overrun ages ago)

Thanks B, Was kinda thinking your were peeved at me for some reason as you never answered any of my PM's. A small frag of a hammer would be sweet, know where I could get some nice orange rics or such local? I know I've got monster lighting for the tank, but I want to keep it simple for now, a few nice LPS, like a small hammer, a few heads of candy cane if I can find some nice ones, a nice small fox as the center piece (fave coral) and mebbe a small open brain or such , then just let it all grow with a bunch of zoas, shrooms and other encrusting polyps so I dont have to go crazy maintence wise, just planning on small freaquent water changes every week or so in lieu of additives and see how it takes off.

Shoot no! Ive been extremely busy between work, swap, and surgury lately. However I dont remember getting any PMs, just saw where you were getting rid of your old tank awhile back. I will cut you a piece of hammer, I have some candy cane i can cut a couple heads of but it is $8 a head, it is cryptonite candy cane so i paid alot for it and it hasnt grown yet. I have alot of pieces of pocilipora and purple tip acro if you want some of that. As for rics, Brandon (BKV) has some YUMA rics, but they are LE rics Im not sure what he is getting for his babies but im sure it is less than the going rate. I got one of his superman rics and it is amazingly bright orange. he and tommy have a large selection of Zoos that they frag, but again they are mostly LE so you will have to see what there prices are.

Thanks MattS, the corals look great and seem to like my tank, the trumpet fully inflated and opend up its sweepers within 15 minutes, some of the GSP's started to open and look incredibly bright, cant wait for them to fully extend, the zoas hae been a little shy but thats to be expected, I'll post pics in a day or three after eveythings settled, Thanks again man!

You're welcome, I was feeding the Trumpets everyother night with Mysis Shrimp and they were growing like crazy.

Here in a few weeks I'll have some red and yellow zoas and I think it's called Starburst GSP.
