As the title states. I received this Grafted Montipora last week Saturday from a fellow reefer.

she states it was kept under Radion G5’s with AB+ setting. I have just about the same settings

I have been observing it and it looks like it might be bleaching or something weird is going on with it.

my gut is telling me that my light is too bright and I should have acclimated it by placing it on the sandbed for about week or so.

i moved it last night away from the front middle of the tank to the side as you see in the picture. So it’s not being hit directly with such bright light.

my gut says my light is too bright and I’m actually hurting my corals. I’m running a Radion xr15 Pro + reefbrites(blues)

My parameters are quite stable
Alk 8.4
Calc 430
Phos 0.061
Nitrate

Beautiful coral.depends on where he had the cora and l at what Par . Each tank is different.i would lower it for a few weeks . Its worth the investment to get a par meter.

200 to 300 par. Is good . The higher the better,, but thats just my opinion It does need high flow and good lighting hard to tell by the pic but if the edges are lighter it might be growing. I would ask your friend what par they had for your coral.
