I find myself buying a new nem every couple of months. My clown fish are so rough on them they kill the nems I get for them. this is my last nem im going to buy for my tank. they are just brutally rough. as far as parameters im not to concerned as I do weekly water changes. thats my conclusion thats why the nems don't survive AT all. i'm just going to get a small plant pot and throw it in there and if they like it great and host it even better. or they can host my gsp rock.

nitrates 20 ppm.
alk 8
temp 80 degrees
ca 4253
mag 1300
ph- 8.1
phosphates - 0.01

IME, clowns can kill corals that have skeletons by being too rough, but healthy anemones in a mature and stable tank should be fine. How old is your tank, how stable are your parameters?

Is the calcium 425 or 4253?

I agree with MaxTremor. Has to do with water chemistry or over feeding(more often the cause than under feeding)

Where are you getting these nems from? Often times, wild nems get infections and need treatment.

I get them from my lfs. This one I have had for six months.
