I have a 36x18x20 tank with a center overflow. I am thinking about getting two gyres to put on either side of the overflow.
Will ice cap 1k’s move enough water?
Does anyone have video or feedback on them?

It depends on what type of coral you want to keep. It would probably be fine for softies and LPS but you will want more for sps. That choice will put you close to 40 x tank volume turnover (not counting the return pump). Many of us aim for 80 x or greater for sps like acros. It makes a difference.

I am looking at the softer corals.
Zoas, hammers etc
I’m a rookie when it comes to reef keeping and to be honest don’t know many of the coral options out there

If it were me, I would go with a single icecap gyre 3k. It’ll save you $$$, it’ll flow more than two 1k’s at a lower setting, will take up less space in the tank, make less noise, use less power, take up one less spot on your powerstrip, and will be one less thing to maintain. It’ll also provide all of the flow you’ll need for zoas and hammer coral by itself. And if you want to do sps later on, just get one more 3k and call it good.
