Hair Algae

I started to notice small patches of what looks like red hair algae in my Nano 10g its been up and running for 5mo. I run basic filter floss, Siporax and Chemipure in that order in a media rack. I’m NOT running a skimmer,could that be my problem and will it help if I add one? TIA.

What are your nutrients at? That will help determine whether there is a problem.

My load is 3 fish, two small clowns and a goby. This is a LPS/Softie tank. The water clarity has also bine slightly cloudy at times. Pleanty of flow with a upgraded return pump and an extra powerhead. TIA.
