Hammer not looking good

I just started getting into coral and got a hammer. It was doing good for a few weeks and then today one of the heads is sucked in. Is this normal?? If not what can I do to help it?

Has that clown fish been trying to host the hammer?

They haven't as far as I know.

Sometimes corals, especially some LPS, will just close up. It could be because they are irritated by sand, different flow, etc. I would just let it be, and it will probably open up again soon.

Thanks for the great advice. It has almost complete opened back up again.
