I would be interested in the setup shown here![]()
here are a couple of DIY hatcheries. I don’t use a light at all but I let them percolate for 30-36 hours. You can buy hatcheries Online. San Francisco Bay makes a cheap basic one that works with a 2 liter bottle and air pump. I recommend going that route and then making something diy if you endup hatching often. I hatch twice a day.
Do you notice healthier coral? Or breeding activity in fish?![]()

It’s pretty simple. I took this design from the video I linked.
Required items
Water bottle ( I used essentia 50oz)
1/4” inline murlock ball valve
1.5” of 1/4” to tubing
2 1/4-20 stainless steel bolts
2 stainless nuts for above bolts
Blue thread locker
12 gauge brass wire or like
1/4” airline tubing
1/4” check valve
Air pump
Screw cap thing https://www.ebay.com/itm/5x-Brine-S...179188?hash=item2cfc766774:g:3tkAAOSwaYxdheuq
RO clips
Cut the bottom out of the bottle while maintaining the shoulder for structure,
use the nuts, bolts and wire to fashion a hanger/ handle.
put the RO tubing over the nipple on the screw cap thing.
push murlock valve onto the ro tubing that has been put over the nipple on the screw cap thing
cut a 6” section of airline tubing.
Shove that in the other end of the murlock ball valve.
screw this new murlock assembly onto bottle assembly.
use check valve between this new assembly and air pump.
If you use marine salt for you brine shrimp there is no need to buffer the water. If you use non iodized salt or rock salt you need to add a bit of baking soda to the water(like 1/8 teaspoon per liter or two).
