Hi everybody I just wanted to introduce my self! My name is Brett, from Northeast Ohio. I have been in the aquarium hobby for about 8 years. That being said I have only been on the salty side for about a year. I have been taking it extremely slow, mostly because this hobby is so dang expensive!
Currently I have a very lightly stocked tank. It's a standard 55 with no sump(couldnt fit anything), for lighting I just upgraded to 4 x 54 wt t5 lights(from 2lights). Also just added a reef octopus bh2000 skimmer (today actually) for flow I have 2 hydor 750's. Also just purchased a JBJ ATO which I honestly haven't hooked up yet. I also have an emperor 400 that is not actually running right now because of putting the skimmer in don't really think I need it anymore but don't really want to great rid of it just yet. Also have around 60 lbs of live rock in the tank.
For livestock I only have a single percula clown (one didnt make it) I also have two peppermint shrimp and a tiger pistol. Then my clean up crew which consists of numerous hermits (scarlet, blue leg, and thin stripe), and snails(nassirus, cerith, dwarf cerith, and nerite) used to have a couple turbos and a conch but they did not made it through this first year. Add far as corals go I have a piece of LR that has a nice piece of green star polyps on it. And about 2 wells ago a friend gave me a mushroom and a fungia. The GSP has been proliferating greatly in the last year, it survived the original cycle and multiple salinity and ph spikes and depressions. Which is why the ato is so important. Also have some sort of small anemone which I was told was a green bubble tip by lfs but I don't really believe that. I guess it could be but it truly hasnt gotten any bigger since I bought a piece of live rock with him on it. (Didnt really expect it to live but has for the last year. Unfortunately I don't think he likes the upgraded lights because he has disappeared from sight. I am assuming he moved somewhere to find something me comfortable for him, but he is nowhere to be seen. Some people had identified him as a mojano but im skeptical of that because he has never multiplied. I will post an older pic of him of I can find one. But for now I'll post some pics of what I can!
