Hello reef2reef!

Welcome to R2R! Can't wait to see your tanks!

good bye hello GIF

Hello!

Marine aquariums have been kind of a constant thing for me. My dad kept a pair of 125 gallon fish only tanks in his restaurant from the late 80s through the early 2000s that I loved staring at and helping out with as a child, and I worked for a LFS for a couple of years in my early 20s doing maintenance.

I have usually stuck with low maintenance simple nano reefs with softies and some LPS for my personal tank, but decided to finally complicate things with higher needs corals and more delicate fish in my current 30 gallon.

I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions along the way, and I'm excited to fiy participate on reef2reef. So many of your reefs are inspiring to me, I hope to be able to meaningfully contribute to the pool of knowledge at some point.

Thanks for reading and happy reefing!

Welcome! Glad you joined. Sounds like you've many years experience already from your past!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread under Forum > Member Aquariums and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you in Colorado:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
