I've cut down the lights being on to 6hrs instead of 8. Is there anything else I can do or add to get rid of this eyesore?

Excess nutrients causes algae problems wheter thats from overfeeding or in my case from too much liquid coral food.

Id have to go with Mike007 on his thought, try cutting back on feeding or smaller amounts.

I'm having a little growing on my bio cube as well but I'm not running a skimmer, I'm also trying to cut back on feeding, but they look so hungry:))

Try every other day on the feeding. Or if you can't, get a big ol skimmer, that'll definately help.

Thank you for all the responses! I'll cut back on the feeding and see what happens.

Out of curiosity what's your water quality like? Do you make your own or buy from Lfs? Tds causes algae bloom as well

Salinity 1.026, nitrites/amonia 0, nitrates 10ppm, Ph 8.2...I get my water from LFS.

Like everyone else said the key is the water quality. But you could also add in some snails and inverts that shift sand. A fighting conch is great at clean up the sandbed
