Help Betta fish dying

The easiest way I’ve found is to place him and some of his tank water in a small bowl, place this bowl in a bit larger bowl and fill the larger bowl with ice. That will ease him to sleep. Or if you have any type vodka or something? You can also place him in a small container with some of his water and just pour the liquor in this. He will pass shortly after. Some use clove oil, pretty much the same, small container, tank water and then clove oil. Some opt to place straight in the freezer. Euthanizing isn’t an easy thing, I just had to do this to my betta with a large aggressive tumor. I’m so sorry.

I think I will put him down with the ice. Thank you for all of your help. It is always a sad thing to lose a fish but I appreciate you helping me find out what is wrong with him. So I will put some ice in the water that he is in and he should pass. Is there anything else I need to do? What method did u use or put yours down?

Sadly I put him down. He was a great fish but I had to do what was right and put him down. I put him in some ice water and he was gone with 30 seconds. Thanks for your help.

I’m sorry for your loss. I wasn’t much help, to be honest. It’s always so hard to let them go. But it’s the kindest thing.

To answer your earlier question I used the vodka, as it was on hand. We were out of ice.

Ok I sounds like he may not make it. I think he is pineconing because his scales are flared away from his body. I don’t have the supply’s to give him baths and test water. What is the best way to put him down humanly?
