Hey, I have an established mix reef 91 gallon with the sump about 5 years old, I’m using the KZ flat worm stop for the last year, and just got a new bottle. When setting it up on the dosing pump I didn’t pay attention and dosed by mistake 34 ml ….
Usually, I was dosing 3.5ml a day…
Should I be worried? I’m not sure how bad that can get… any thoughts?

The company says it can be dosed up to 3x the basic dose, but you’re three times higher than that.

Trouble is, the company doesn’t divulge what’s in it. Seems to have iodine in it which can be an issue if overdosed.

Here is a thread:

Always a secret with Pohls/KZ and no published safety data sheet as they claim its all natural ( with what)
A child ingests it accidentally- what do you tell the hospital - They have to do better with disclosures

Got it, thanks for your input guys I’ll mix some water and make a water change…
I always think big water change will add stress to the corals and fish

I right away added a new carbon bag and switched my skimmer to wet skimming to try get it out…
Is this considered iodine overdosing for your opinion?

I have done some overdosing of kz products. No ill effects that I could see, but I would do a 20-30% water change as needed. I wouldn’t dose more for a few days.
