I have a 40g FOWLR tank (contents: falco hawkfish, starry blenny, saddleback toby, 20lbs live sand, 20lbs live rock; everything over 1 year old) and my Koralia Evo 1150 just died. It's the only circulation pump in the tank, although I have Aquatop CF400UV canister filter that is still running (very low flow though). It's going to be extremely difficult for me to get a new pump any sooner than Thursday due to travel plans. Since there are only fish in the tank, no filter feeders and no corals, how long can I leave the tank without circulation? I could cut out of work early if this is an emergency situation.

Thanks for your help!

Might want to test your ammonia before and after work each day if you weren't already planning on doing that.

Being that you only have 3 small fish in a 40 gallon tank that's been set up for over a year, I don't think you'll have any problems either. Like mentioned above as long as there's some kind of circulation you should be ok. That canister filter might not be the best, but it should suffice for a few days. GL.

My .02 is that you are going to need to add something. How bout a small power head or something to break the surface water up and promote the exchange of CO2. A good air stone would also work
