HELP ME AGAIN question reference copper power

Has anyone left copper in their tank for a long period of time at 1.5 strength, reason is I been fighting ick for 3 years no kidding did copper for 30 days at 2.5 strength in Feb and again they are back. It's like the strain is resilient. Left copper in the tank after water change of 30% the last 32 months and no sign of ick or what ever parasite it is. Apparently copper must be totally out now since its back. Thanks for your time, Carl

I've held fish in Coppersafe at full dose for 4 months or so with no apparent issues. I can't say for sure, but copper power is probably similar. You should not do that with cupramine or ionic copper though.

Immunity of protozoans to copper has not been officially documented - I suppose it could happen, but it would take many, many generations, and then, I wonder if it ever could happen....

Coppersafe and Copper Power are very similar. Treatment in Quarantine is same:
At therapeutic level 2.25-2.5 For a FULL 30 days (do not interrupt this 30 day period) monitored by a reliable Copper Test kit such as Hanna Brand- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone. DO NOT RAMP IT UP SLOWLY BUT ACHEIVE LEVEL IN 24-36 hours
The display tank will have to be kept fishless (FALLOW) for 6-8 weeks to assure the existing parasites go through their life cycle without a host fish and die off

impossible have two many fish and their size tank is a 12 footer
