As the title says
I'm having problems picking a flow pump.

Abyzz afc 150- $2900, 16Kgph, 10 year warranty, commercial grade, too much?

Tunze stream 3- $420, 4Kgph, 5 year warranty

Panta rhei emc63- $2500, 13.5Kgph, 1 year warranty, flow patterns?!

Vortech mp60- $770, 7.5Kgph, 1 year warranty, low profile no cord inside the tank...

This pump will be supplemented by
-two 1 1/2" seaswirls with fluval sp6 pumps.
-1 tunze 2014 wavebox
-1 tunze 2012 wavebox
-1 mp40-if it will hold on 3/4" acrylic
-1 octopulse 4- if they work on 3/4" acrylic.

...in short im having problems seeing if the more expensive pumps are even worth it. Ppl talk about build quality... I'm all about silent and flow. Lol.

These things providing the flow in a swimming pool or what? Wish I could provide some valuable feedback but honestly have zero knowledge on the two pricey pumps. I will say personally I would never choose the MP60 over the Tunze. For just a bit more money as a single MP60 you can get two reliable Tunze. Unless you just like sending Ecotech a couple hundred dollars for the new wetside every once in awhile.

I agree that ppl pay for the ease of not seeing the cord and paying for the new wet sides prob every other yr. Idk I'm about to find out with my mp40. Lol.

Tunze is reliable and true product yes I agree on that too.

I think its the abyzz mod talon that says its for creeks too. Lol!

Sounds awesome! Thats very close to the tank i someday want (48x48x20). That size tank i certainly would not go with either of the two beast pumps you got listed there just cause i think they would be overkill. 2 waveboxes, an mp40, and octopulse 4 should have you well on your way to what you need already and i dont think you would need those beasts.

Again I agree with you! Lol.
I don't have 6 or 8 ft to push water. I am underestimating the seaswirls...

What do you think about having 3 fluval sp6 pumps running 24/7 at 135w ea. ? Lol

Oh ya i forgot you had those already too! Honestly i would not buy any more wavemakers i would get that guy setup and then see what(if anything) you need to add or replace. You are going to already be moving a ton of water with what you got.

However i am probably the worst to give advice on this right now. I just setup a 30x30x24 and i cant get the flow right at all...always way too much in spots and way too little in other.....though if you sent me those seaswirls it might help lol :)

I'd go mp. Ive been running an mp10 that I got used for 3 years now and I've never even cleaned it except when I got it. Ceramic shaft and thrust washers if I remember right. What fails on the wet side?
