Help placing a powerhead

I need to add one more power head. The dry side magnet has nowhere else to be except for in the overflow. It wouldn’t be completely submerged, but water would run over it. Would most magnets be okay placed like this? Can I use something simple like a plastic sandwich bag to keep it somewhat dry? Pic of the overflow attached.

Try posting pics under white lights... it's too hard too see what's going on in these pics to get an idea of what you mean.
 
@Idoc srry, maybe these will help. My camera phone stinks too. So this is the overflow box. I want to put the magnet holding a powerhead in there where the water falls into the overflow.

It should work in the overflow, but the dry side magnet leaching would be a huge concern for me. I'm not sure how a plastic bag would hold up.
