I made a impulse buy. My wife really liked the TANK BRED neon dottyback. It's acclimating now, but i've read bad reviews of it's aggression. he's about 3inches or so. he was in a tank with quite few other fish in the LFS.. including a starry blenny & wrasse

75g.
melanarus wrasse
randells goby
2 clowns
midas blenny
2 barnacle blennies
scarlet shrimp
2 large harlequin shrimp.

Should I chance putting it in or?

do it.... if its tank raised it should readily accept new tank mates. the fish itself is semi aggressive but i think you should be fine. the wrasse is the only concern for aggression i could see. i had both a neon and a orchid and they were both ORA tank raised and were too nice for their own good. id say go for it they are beautiful plus they eat bristleworms, also you might add a couple pieces of live rock or change the landscape a bit when introducing it(should reduce the territoriality), i like to feed at the same time so the other fish arent as focused on the new mate. i do mine just before i turn the lights out too so it gives everyone time to find new hiding spots

The only issue I see is with the shrimp. They can become super aggressive towards shrimp. I can't keep shrimp with my royal dottyback.

I went ahead & put it in. It saw my scarlet shrimp & harley's and didn't care. It's hiding in the rocks.. the wrasse found him & showed him his dominance. Didn't try to nip him or anything.. just did a little dance. so far so good!
My harley's & scarlet are also bigger then the fish

edit: yeah the wrasse is being a bully to it. He's a bully to my midas every now and then.. but my midas could careless. He just dodges him and goes on his way. To be honest, I'd rather have my wrasse bully him so he knows his place.

Update: she seems to be playing well with everyone. The wrasse is even hanging out with her.

update: still doing well. I just added a spotted mandarin & so far so good.

one thing I noticed.. I have a gold torch thats ontop of some PVC lifted off the ground.. my dottyback has been going inside the PVC and kinda making it her home. I noticed some marks on her body today.. i assume the torch is stinger her
