After this week’s release of the A3, I made the decision to buy a sweet new A2 apex Base unit. Right choice for me in my circumstances.

I’m having trouble with setup: I started reprogramming outlets instead of sticking with presets. Ironically I set a light outlet in position 1, which is the preset position, and although it looks like it’s correctly programmed, the outlet failed to become active after I sent the new commands to the EB8 (carried over from my apex classic).

I followed the step by step setup and it looks right, but the outlet isn’t doing anything. I did the same thing with outlet #2, which I wanted to use as a heater. the reprogrammed outlet isn’t doing anything.

luckily outlet 4 is still preset as a heater, so I am running my heater through that for now. I have my light on outlet 6 which is preset to be a return pump and will stay on until I manual unplug the light later tonight.

any idea what I’m doing wrong? I did not erase any programming from my old eb8….not sure if I needed to.

Additional information: the outlet themselves work. They were being used until this morning on my apex classic.

The other thing that might be hanging you up is the Min Time statement. If you set the outlet from OFF to AUTO and it hasn't been OFF for at least 20 minutes it won't turn on.

It's all working now. Whew. The last time my apex was hooked up to the internet was with the original black server monitoring page, before fusion.

Fusion is neat!
