Help w/ Torch ID

Hoping I can get some confirmation from my fellow reefers out there… picked this up today. It was sold to me as a wild indo grail torch. Only been in LFS tank 3 weeks, so still has some coloring up to do. What’s the consensus say… Is this indeed an indo grail??? (Tomorrow’s cleaning day, so pardon the dirty glass)

Nope lol I’ve got one of those already… lots of dark purple and green in the dragon soul. I’ve actually got quite a few different torches… And my lfs is actually pretty reputable, too. This is just my first wild specimen, and I haven’t seen this coloring before. I just want to make sure it’s what I was sold

You misunderstood. Grails have a similar coloration as dragon souls. The dragon soul lacks a green mouth.

Now while dragon and grails have gold stripes, the green mouth separates them. Dragon soul doesn't.

Grails aren't purple like the dragons.

Yours has the grail colors.

It's Grailey but too much purple in the base tentacles for me to call a grail, personally.

It's a beautiful looking torch.

Thanks… I’m actually kind of surprised that there’s any purple at all in the photo. It is predominantly green and gold with the light blue tips and neon mouth.. hoping the very little purple that’s there colors up more green or gold like the rest since it was recently propagated from the sea. But for a buck fifty I couldn’t resist… wild or aquacultured

Right?! Never thought I’d own a torch with “grail” in the name, so I jumped. It’s only other friends was a five headed colony. I’m not that rich lol

Thanks for the help… I believe it is a grail, just needs some coloring up. It’s settling in nicely, and I’m looking forward to posting once fully acclimated to tank life and it’s colors return to their former glory! I do need a new torch rack, though… no room on the rack for the new guy
