Hi guys, this is my first time setting up a salt water reef system. The tank finished cycling I’m around 3 weeks into the build. I think I’m ready to add my first pair of clownfish to the tank. Looking for some suggestions and what to look for (how to find a mated pair) at the pet store. Also attached a picture of the tank below.

Thanks, Alex

3 weeks is pretty quick. What method did you use to cycle?

Live rock, live sand, premixed water. I also added a bottle of bacteria and raised the temperature a bit while it was cycling. And I had a protein skimmer on it as well.

If your absolutely sure the cycle is finished, clowns are a pretty good choice for first fish. You dont need a mated pair, clowns have the ability for 1 to change sex so they would be a pair. Decide which type of clowns you want, be sure to get them from a reputable LFS and watch them eat before you take them home. And quarantine!

Okay thank you, i will definetly make sure they eat before I bring them home, I almost forgot about that
