My bud Ryan! and I are living together next year when he transfers to UW and want to combine our tanks. Im thinking 75?

50-75

what kind of skimmer do I need?
anybody know of decent priced led fixture for a tank that size? or MH?

Other things needed:
sump
live sand
live rock
2 koralias?
pump?

what else?

feedback would be helpful. ive had a 29b and he has a 15 as well. first big tank for us both.

Skimmer: SWC from reef filtration or the avast skimmer, best bang for the buck IMO.
LEDs: Reefkoi's lights are going to be the best bang for the buck on a tank your size. However it depends on what you're planning on keeping but they should support sps in the upper half of your tank. If you're going just sps, you might want to look into reeffiltration fixtures or reef leds DIY kits. Do a search for the lights I mentioned and you'll find some good info and reviews. I personally don't like MHs because of the heat issues and I don't want to run a chiller. I currently run T5s which are another great option, just look at sunnyx"s tank.
Sump: I'd go with at least a 30gal but it depends on if you want incorporate a fuge. I currently have a 20l that is split in half with baffles, one side for drain hoses from the tank and the other for return and reactors. Not too much space and I'd like more volume.
As for the others I guess that's your preference. Next time I redo my tank I'll go with less rock and a bonsai style scape. I like the look of sand but suggest you stay away from anything fine. The return pump is also something you can go either way with some people like a lot of flow from their return and some say 3-4x your tank volume for better skimming. Good luck and be sure to post some pics of your build.

+1 with everything above!

I also have a 75g that I am thinking of selling, it has a CPR overflow and a 29g sump that will go along with it, pm if you are interested.
