I'm so ready for af test kits...

I wouldn't expect any alkalinity titration kit to be different in that regard.

From link below:

"Of course, most reefkeepers measure alkalinity with a test kit, not with a pH titration. How does that work?

Well, in effect test kits do a pH endpoint titration. They all include pH indicating dyes (providing a color change) and an acid (frequently dilute sulfuric acid) to lower the pH. You typically add acid until the dyes turn color. Since these dyes are selected to have a color change in the pH = 4 to 5 range, what you get is a measurement of how much acid it takes to lower the pH to that range. This color change is used to approximate the endpoint of the titration."

So I opened my brand new box of af salt. Tested it using salifert and got over 1500...might just have to send a salt sample to af. What's the best way of doing so without getting searched for more cocaine ..lol

Remember back awhile ago I sent you a PM with the address to send your salt sample?? I'll send it to you again.

Pull the trigger and send :)

I would love to but don't have Facebook

Actually that's the best way to get assistance specifically for Aquaforest products. This is where everyone can see what issue your having World wide including Poland. So I'd suggest you get a Facebook account and sign up to that group.

Then you'll see exactly how rare this situation is. This is also why I recommended you send a salt sample so we can hopefully put this to rest. [emoji4]

Samples are ready... just waiting till Monday to be able to send them out.

Ok. Not gonna happen as far as sending salt unless I get a label from them. It would cost me 234.05 for ups and USPS want 60$. I can buy a new box of salt...
