Hermit Crab IDs

Anyone know what types of hermit crabs these guys are?
The first one was given to me by my LFS and he just said, “oh, this is one that will get really big, so if you’re up for it, I want her to go to a good home.” I’m a sucker for the weird ones. She was mixed in with a bunch of Keys Red Leg Hermits.

The second guy came in a bag of assorted hermits from ReefCleaners.org. There were a few like this with one big, white claw and a smaller mostly white claw. They all had white tips on their legs and light bluish eyes. The guy in my picture is eating a green algae chip, so ignore the green part. Also, please ignore my algae on my glass. Ugh.

I have some of the second one pictured and I’ve loved them since I got into saltwater. I remember finding a page with their scientific name years ago and just tried to find it again and can’t... I don’t think they get very big and they don’t bother fish at all

Bump - here’s a better picture of the first guy. Does anyone know if this is in fact one of the hermit crabs that get huge? He just moved into this Babylonian Snail shell today. I’m sure he’s getting ready for a growth spurt!

Hmm, I have no clue what species this is but he/she sure dreams big. I’m just losing it looking at how confident he/she looks in that shell.

The second one with the big claw could be a zebra. The first might be a polka dot but probably not.

LOL You are so right! I’m amazed he/she is able to hold onto it but that hermie is cruising all over the tank today!

Update: my polka dotty hermit had her first molt since I got her. Looking all shiny and new in her shell that’s still way too big. Eating up a storm & cleaning the sand bed. Still no idea exactly what she is but I like her anyways!
