hermit crabs

has anyone ever had a hermit crab climb out of its shell and move in to a hole in the live rock and die one of my just did weird....

Havent had one just jump into a hole and die but I've watched them jump from shell to shell

yes, i have seen them change shells a lot too but for some reason this one thought the hole in the rock was a shell or something and then could not get back out, i tried to get it out but it is jammed in there good just pulled off a leg.

Poor thing, sounds like a sad way to die. Did he die, or is he just stuck?

yes, the poor thing was dead when i found it stuck in there, my Daughter said she had look in there not to long a go and didn't see it there it was not moving at all when i discovered it.
