Well, hi guys, thanks for accepting me into this lovely forum.

I should start by explaining i have bought a EA pro reef 1200 tank in jan as an upgrade and as such i gave all my softies away to a good friend in hopes of this becoming a sps setup (maybe a couple hammers)

I have since attempted a couple of frags that didnt make it past a week or 2 without dying.

So after leaving it a couple more months and doing regular water changes buying a doser i tried again with a small frag.... again didnt make it. So cheesed off with myself for killing another frag i bought and sent an icp off the results are here...

Now i have started dosing iodin as that read at 0

Chromium levels were high but i have no idea where thats from or how bad it can be to sps

I have since started with my first 15% water change last sunday doing just over 15% at 75litres

Is there anything else i should be doing?

Where does chromium originate in the aquarium? I dont have any steal components and all heavy metals read 0

Would the chromium level be the likley cause of not growing sps?

Thanks all

The chromium is likely from some sort of metal part somewhere. Or big overdose of a trace element supplements.

The water you use to make top off and new salt water, how do you make that? Double check that system for metal parts after the RO membrane.

Its all plastic and i get 0tds water after di stage

The only thing i can see is one of my hinges has a tiny tiny spec of rust but its below my sump so cant drop in.. and would it not show tin and other metals?

I will get some vasaline or food grade silicon greese for the hinges asap tho..
