High tds issue

I was getting alot of diatoms and I checked my tds from my ro/di and it's crazy high 116ppm

I ordered new filters and a new membrane.

My question is there anything I can do besides a huge water change?

My total volume is 250 gallons

And when I do a water change how much should I do to combat the high tds that was in the water?

If your concern is the high tds then I'm not sure it's worth worry about at this point.

Well I'm concerned because of the diatom issue and finding out my water was so bad I'm thinking I need to correct the issue

Diatoms feed of silicates, so when the silicates have been depleted they'll go away. They're ugly but harmless.

I agree. Silicate is rapidly depleted from aquaria from uptake by diatoms, sponges, etc. No need to do anything except cut off the source.

Great thanks for the response guys.

I ordered new filters and a new membrane for my ro/di unit

So I will be topping off with 0 tds water very soon and will be doing a 25-30% water change this weekend after the filters get here
