Hi, was wondering if anyone know what kind of starfish this is. Thanks.

In these pics you can see the damage they are doing to my coralline algae.
See the “white spots”?
Not really sure where they came from... I haven’t introduced any new Coral recently... just a peppermint shrimp.

That’s an Asterina mf’n zoa eating star fish. They’re jerks. Pick them out when you see them or let them build up a little and get a Harlequin Shrimp. They’ll completely wipe them out fairly quickly. Just be prepared to take the shrimp out and give it back to your LFS or another reefer with the same issue. They’re very efficient hunters and they’ll have the starfish population wiped out before you know it, so you’ll need to reschedule-home it. Mine eventually starved to death as I didn’t realize until it was to late that he had wiped out the entire Asterina star fish population.

That’s for the help, I would love for it to be a sand sifter but not worth the chance. I will take it out and hope that there aren’t too many others in there. I introduced some new stuff about a week ago.
