How has FedEx been doing lately?

I’ve had a ton of USPS packages the last few weeks get delayed a day, or two. Thankfully, just dry goods.

I’m ordering some really nice coral from someone across the country, and was hoping for a Friday delivery, but am concerned it could get held up and delivered Monday instead.

Has anyone been having issues with FedEx overnight, as of late? Should I just be patient and wait for a Monday ship?

I would wait for a Monday shipping date. There is some nasty weather in the south where both have air package traffic go thru.
I have no issues with UPS or Fed Ex.

I have a close friend who has a Fed Ex delivery franchise. They have been experiencing much higher than normal volumes that have delayed some deliveries. This may be regional but I’m not sure I would chance it with livestock. Some companies are not offering their normal guarantees because of shipping delays.

I’ve shipped out a few orders the past two weeks with fedex. No delays yet.

Yesterday I had a Coral shipment coming and was in panic mode. Fed Ex was supposed to have delivered by 10:30 but it didn't arrive till 3:30. The big deal here is at 10:30 temps where only 80 ish. By 3:30 it was 100.

Fortunately, 12hrs after receiving everything my corals are still doing well in my tank. Allot of that has to do with the shipper and the fine work they did packing everything.

My best suggestion is if you can get the sender to ship direct to a major shipping facility near you. That way you can pick it up when they are open and control the situation. Make sure you have that option as some places might not allow for a pick up considering the times.

Josh! What’s up, brother? It’s been a while. This is Adam from NY.

Sad story time: I had the jelly bean chalice delivered yesterday, and it didn’t arrive until 6:30. More than half the flesh was melted off. I have hopes that what’s left’ll pull through, but it’s looking rough.

UPS seems to drop the ball for me way more often than FedEx.
