I'm in a situation that I can't seem to decided myself. Here is my situation: 1 x 125 mixed reef, 1 x120, 2 x55 (1 drilled, 1 not), 1 x 29 biocube, 1 x 14 biocube. This is the list of my tanks (still receiving more weekly). At this moment, only the 125 and the 29 bio is up and running. I had plans to build the 120 and a drilled 55, but haven't as of yet. The 29 bio was going to my wife and the 14 bio was to go to my 2 yr old daughter. After talking with the wife, I need to make decisions and am hoping someone has been in this situation and could point me in a good direction. The wife dosen't want to start another tank and my daughter wouldn't be able to learn on the care for a few more years. With all these tanks and dreams of living on a coral reef myself, what would you do with my tanks?
BTW: space isn't an issue, I have an entire den (12x12) just for my xbox 360 and reefs.

Mods: If this isn't in the right form or allowed, please move/delete

Thanks to all whom may answer

I personally would keep the 125 going, I'd forget about the 2x 55g, or maybe make them into sumps. Then set up the Bio cubes. I am also quite partial to the 120's so I say set it up!

Why you set up so many small tanks for? If space isn't an issue then get yourself 1 big tank(300+) 1 frag tank & small softy tank

I had a feeling you'd like the 120 (since yours is awesome). I just can't decide what to make them into. I mean a room with that much light. My 125 has 3 x 250 mh over it. I was thinking of a FOWLR in the 120 or maybe Latz clowns in a softyor lps or sps reef. I'm a tang addict too and a black sailfin (longnose) is on my list this weekend while I travel to shops in Tampa.

LOL thanks!

Maybe transform the mixed 125 into a SPS dominated tank and then place all the other LPS and softy's in the 120 with some lesser lighting?

A 300 is on my list, but these tanks were all given to me or bought cheap. I have around $700 in the list above. That ammount was mainly for the 125's lights and the stand! Much cheaper at the moment and a single tank can sometimes limit one on what they have.

I did have that in mind. Maybe a softy with the Latz and 1 of the small tangs under 6 T5s or PC's

Today I decided that the 120 will stay. Probably a lps tank with either latz, 1 tang and a wrasse or maybe just wrasses. I just can't get the black longnose tang out of my head:squigglemouth:

keep the 125 and the 120 along with the bio .. would make the 120 full blown reef LPS and SPS ..

I keep forgetting that to say I'm definitely keeping the 125. Do you think sps would work in the 120 with only t5's? I really didn't want to break the bank on led and mh are a energy consumer.

LOL click on my tank thread and you tell me if SPS will work in a 120g with only T5's!

I can't wait. I'm sure it will be awesome. I just lost a maxima.
