Up close they look like this
Were you kidding bout the chisel?
Take the whole rock out and soak in 50% peroxide and 50% tank water for 15 mins or so....everything else will be ok.....then remove what you can by hand outside of the tank....rinse off and replace into tank....try again in 2 days....or treat the whole tank with peroxide....bryopsis is horrible to deal with and will release spores when broken in the tank water
Im leaning towards tresting the whole tank with isoprophyll as you suggest.
Thanks...
Looks like I have some reading to do...
Is there a golden ratio for isoprophyll ?
I'd take a wood chisel ( I have several different cheap ones just for things like this) and hammer and break the rock.
You may have to sacrifice a polyp or two to get rid of the algae.
